      All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological. 
      We have a special session planned for this one. Instead of the usual Show 'n Tell on a technical topic, we're going to post tech sheets in the comments to this Calendar Event (scroll down to see what's posted so far) and ask specific questions that can only be answered by reading the tech sheet. If you at least try to answer the questions beforehand, you'll get a lot more out of it. The tech sheet and the questions are posted in the comments section below.
      Your mission, if you should choose to accept it, is to check out the questions for each one and try to answer them ahead of time. Then come to the Dojo to see how well you did!

Position Summary:

The Director of Service will support our servicing members as they grow their businesses in efficiency and
profitability and coordinate with our vendor partner’s service leadership teams to provide communications,
training, and technology to our NMG servicing members.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Support for members with Vendor training and communication.
• Help members recruit and retain skilled technicians.
• Create and manage initiatives to promote existing programs, announce new programs, and highlight
program specials and benefits.
• Respond to member inquiries related to operating a service department.
• Communicate with MSM team to get feedback and promote the Service Leaders Network.
• Occasional travel to dealer trainings and vendor Quarterly Business Reviews.
• Program management of existing programs, including forming and maintaining Performance Groups.
• Create initiatives and programs that help promote benefits for Nationwide servicing members.
• Manage Membernet presence of each servicing vendor, ensuring that members can easily access and
utilize the available assets.
• Create new programs with new vendors that fit in the Servicing Member category. Find unique
products and benefits with new vendors that help Nationwide members grow their service business
or make their business more efficient.
• Set reporting standards with each vendor and see that the proper reporting data and cadence are
met according to the vendor’s individual contract.
• Organize Weekly talking points, such as company ‘Quick Hits’.
• Creating marketing initiatives to support other members of the Business Services team.
• Attend each PrimeTime event and coordinate with vendors to secure attendance and booth fees.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree in business, business administration, or related area of study.
• 5-10 years of industry related experience, preferably in an appliance service technical, training and
leadership position.
• Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment requiring new process creation, process
improvement, task prioritization and strong project management.
• Must be proficient with MS Suite.
• Must be able to travel: 10-20%

Success Factors and Job Competencies

• Managing and utilizing data is critical to NMG initiatives. The Director of Service will work to align
with company goals around data organization and usage.
• Success in this position is strongly correlated with Directors ability and complete understanding of the
appliance service process.
• Be a self-starter, have high standards and be able to work independently and on a team to meet
deadlines.
• Possess a sense of urgency with proactive identification of opportunities and risks.
• Strong business judgement, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Interpret reports, data, and results into actionable suggestions that will form the future decisions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work with a wide variety of member’s primarily external business partners as well.
• Strong skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships.
• Must be comfortable with change; must show willingness to grown along with the Company and
within the role.
