All Appliantology tech members are invited to join in this workshop on all things Appliantological: bidness, customers, tools, troubleshooting, flavorite brewski, whatever. Webcams and microphones are open and live!
This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers.
If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.
Also, follow this Calendar Event so you'll get notified of new posts here. Look for the "Follow" button either at the top of the topic on desktop or below the topic on mobile.

Installation of New Moisture Sensor on Maytag Condenser Dryer #MYU 935 CWT

Recommended Posts

I purchased a replacement dryer sensor probe, part #C00311914 when the old sensor broke apart - it is a single metal bar with a bent end that slides into a slot behind and underneath the lint basket inside the drum. Unfortunately I have no instructions or diagram for the machine or for changing out the sensor. Just sticking it into the slot and screwing it down does not solve the problem (cycle ends early and clothes are damp) and I suspect there is a cable or element (circuit board?) not visible under the drum that must be attached or threaded to the sensor. If there is one, may be damaged. Can someone point me to a diagram or video that shows the inside of the machine underneath the drum, or how this bar attaches underneath? Thanks for any assistance or advice. I am neither in my home country nor in the country of purchase, and this machine is about eight years old, so any help is much appreciated!

Your part number looks the models serial number. It doesn't pop up on my distributer site.

Thanks for the response!  MYU935CWT is the model number on the front of the machine, but a google search shows the number 857522465002 in brackets next to it. This machine was made in France but purchased in Dubai.
