Dear Sam-Man,

After fixing an F-1 code, upper drawer won't work.  I've rechecked the connections and seem to be fine.  Lower drawer working as usual.  Any ideas?

To Fix the F1 error code, I removed the bottom drawer and dried the flood sensor with a hairdryer.  I've done this before as it will flood when my kids overload the dishdrawer so it doesn't get a proper seal.

Ok, first course of bidness is to fix the cause of the leak and not just cleanup the result. Usually, but not always, on these dd603's, the big culprit is a split in the drain hose. This can be very tricky to catch and you'll need to remove the dish drawer and examine the hose, inch by inch. Also, if you see one of the white hose holders broken, that's a sure sign that the drain hose has been compromised-- in this case, replace the drain hose AND the white hose holster assembly.

If you need help removing the drawer, I believe I have all the manuals for these uploaded to the Xdrive. Let me know if you can't find 'em.

Yes, the white hose holder is broken.  I'll check on the hose itself, though.  Can I order the parts needed from you?  I don't need instruction taking it the drawers out or apart, as I have done it in the past.

You should be able to call F-P and order the part directly yourself. If, for some reason, they give you a hard time, then let me know and I'll figure out a way of getting you the part.

The white hose guides are no longer used in production. There is a retrofit kit for the broken white plastic rods which is much less likely to fail. The kit has complete instructions.

Good tip, AccApp! Do you have a part number on that kit?

528437 Kit link retrofit. All you need is a pair of dykes and a phillips to install. Don't bother to remove the clip closest to the back wall, just cut off the remainder of the white rod. You'll see what I mean when you get to it.
