      This workshop is also a great time for any students at Master Samurai Tech to bring any and all questions about the coursework. We're happy to walk through any concepts you're having trouble with. Think of it like office hours with your teachers. 
      If you have a specific appliance problem you'd like us to talk about, post it here! We need a problem statement and a PDF of the tech sheet or schematic so we can all see it on screen share. If you have a PDF that isn't already in the File library here at Appliantology, send it to us by attaching it to the contact form.

any opinions on whole house humidifers (furnace mounted)? Are the atomizing mist injection type any better (or worst) than the flow thru drum type. any imput would be appreciated.

Best kind are the steam humidifiers but they are pricey. I like bypass and misters equally. The misters are nice and small so they can go places a bypass can't. I like to put them over an evap coil so if they drip it goes into the drain pan. I don't like drum types, never have.

The mist kind is OK if your water quality is good. If you have hard or rusty water the scale will accumulate on the inside of the duct or a-coil. My preference is the bypass or power type with a replaceable pad that you can toss when it scales up.
