  1. I'm having trouble with my Kenmore UltraWash dishwasher model 665.15529000. I would appreciate some help. In the Normal Wash setting, the motor does not activate during the 1st wash. The unit fills with water and emits a brief hum. This brief hum occurs a few times during the 1st wash phase. Eventually the water drains, refills and the unit performs normally after the 1st wash. I have purchased, read and re-read the DIY service manual. I tested the motor and Start Relay. The Start Relay showed 0 ohms but retesting over several days showed a non-zero reading. I've ordered a replacement. The motor has a 4-pin male connector. Assuming the left-most pin is is #1, the wire harness maps as follows: pin 1 - gray pin 2 - yellow pin 3 - blue pin 4 - blue with white stripe The wires from pins 1,2 & 3 connect to the bottom of the door. The wire for pin #4 connects to the Start Relay. Per the DIY service manual, motor ohm readings are: Run Winding, pins 1 & 4: 1-5 ohms Start Winding Drain, pins 2 & 4: 3-7 ohms Start Winding Wash, pins 3 & 4: 4-7 ohms Using the left-most pin is #1, I get: 1 & 4: 9 ohms 2 & 4: 9 ohms 3 & 4: 2.9 ohms There were several instances where the DIY service manual did not agree with my dishwasher (wire harness colors, pump assembly parts, etc.) so I have no way of knowing if I'm testing the pins in the correct order. If my pin order is off then my ohm readings are meaningless. So my questions are: 1. Is my pin test order correct (ie does pin 4 on the motor go to the Start Relay)? 2. Assuming my pin test order is correct, do my ohm readings indicate an issue with the motor? Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. TIA, Chris
