Greetings and salutations! (I hope this is in the correct place. it was the only forum i was allowed to choose.)
I made tortillas last Sunday for the first time on an induction cooktop I inherited with our new house. I used a regular ol' fry pan, not cast iron, or anything exceptionally heavy. I didn't think I had it too hot, but hot enough. After removing the pan later I discovered there is a cloudy ring *under* the glass, small white dots on top of the glass, and over the cloudy ring - the glass feels different. Smooth, but different than the surrounding glass.
What have I done and is it fixable? Can I keep using that burner? (Because I'm sure you can understand that I'm just kind of freaked out about it.) (And seriously - what good is a cooktop that I can't even make tortillas on??) (Please tell me I need something new....)
Many thanks, in advance, for any direction you can give me.
Mrs. Rum
