  1. I had a friend leaving in my old house and when he moved out, the fridge got lonely and upset and decide to leak out the back, and flow down to the basement. Crap. So I get to do some sheerock this weekend. I have checked the water supply box and the valve is fine and the connection appears solid and leak-free. The rear panel has a water stain but I can't seem to find the source. I can see some green corrosion on one of a copper pipe coming from the compressor and it looks like it water could have come down the pipe that contains two plastic supply lines heading up the inside the back of the fridge for the icemaker / water dispenser. Looking at the water stain on the lower panel, it looks like the water came down and was literally 'hit the fan" and tossed water all around, but in a pattern aligned with the fans spinning axis. Lovely. Also, water dispenser stopped working a few years back, but I never fixed it since the kitchen sink is right next to it. I may as well fix that as well while I'm there. Other than that, the fridge had been rock solid reliable for the last 15 years, so I hate to toss it out and buy new. Thanks, Ron
