Morning , I am doing a complete tear down restoration of a 1999 era VGIC30" stove (mouse damage) and want to replace all three ignitors. Is there a difference between the flat style and barrel type ignitors available? One opinion is yes , the other ..no. I am considering using a non Viking part as the Oem part cost is considerably higher, but warranty is the same. As long as ohm resistance is same and physical size is the same, what would be the reason to spend the extra money? Is something truly different that warrants the cost? I'm not sure if it's the case that availability has changed over the the years, or it's overseas made parts. I don't know where the Oem is made, but a lot of stuff is over in China anyways.Thank you in advance !
