Hello,
We have a Gaggenau Built-In Steamer VK230610 and Monday after using it and activating the drain, the drain valve will not close.
I pulled the motor off the valve and manually reset everything to closed and the unit recognized that the valve was closed. I activated the valve again, the unit beeped to warn the valve was opening and it opened the valve but when I set the unit to close the valve it did not close. I once again manually reset everything closed and checked the function of the knobs, temperature settings works, timer works, child lock/unlock works, I then had the unit open the valve, unit beeped to warn valve opening and valve opened but would not close.
I tried power cycling the unit using the breaker.
My question is where to begin troubleshooting -- I can't find a service manual on-line and the "local" service providers that Gaggenau has given me numbers for won't return my calls.
I am a Certified Field Tech for Lighting Control Systems and I have an electronics repair business so if I know where to look I probably have the tools to determine which control has gone bad.
Thank you.
Mike
