    Whirlpool EV160FXK Upright Freezer

    This morning I discovered that my Whirlpool EV160FXK Upright Freezer had stopped working and that although the food was somewhat cold it had spoiled and had to be thrown out. I have unplugged the freezer several times and it sounds like the compressor begins to start but it then goes off within a second or two. I would appreciate any ideas on what the problem might be and whether it might be fixable at a reasonable cost.
