JMC2430LM00 JennAir Microwave - looking for some parts help...

My first post to the forum.. so "Hello"!

My New microwave has some damage to the right side of the control panel and I'd like to replace just the Stainless trim and black Bezel of the control panel, the metal parts. However, I'm unable to find any part numbers for those items. I sent an email to JennAir and their reply to me was:

Quote

"I am sorry you are needing parts for your JennAir microwave.  These parts are not available to the public, however, a service technician is able to order them through their distributor.  You would need to schedule service for those parts."

I have a couple of questions I'm trying to get answered but information seems to be thin...

  • Can anyone get me the part numbers for the front control panel Stainless Trim and black Bezel??
  • Are those numbers backwards compatible to earlier models that I can order the parts from? The reason I ask is that I have an earlier model (JMC2430DP01) that I could use as a donor if the Stainless Bezel and black trim would fit.
  • Are the electronics swapable from one unit to another, the front panel is a touch screen so I'm uncertain about that....   I can't a great picture of the control panel breakdown, see attached for closest that I can find.

Hoping someone can help get me going and save my expensive microwave.

Thanks for any help,

VB

If it's under a year old just call a service company.

The fault of the damage was mine... hence the search for parts to repair it.

You can only order the whole panel plus board not just the panel. Only place I found wants over $1500. You're better off getting a new microwave or seeing if a service company can order it under warranty if possible. Here's the part number assuming this is what you need W11301921. Try around as and see if you can get it cheaper I only tried 3 sites. Post pictures of what you need the one that came up from your model number says it's in the color black.

Thank you for the information.

#W11301921 is for the control panel as a unit, correct, electronics, etc.?

Yes, marketing scheme. Whirlpool and others do this to get you to buy a new microwave IMO. Makes it so expensive you don't want to fix it. If it's under 30 days old you may be able to get a tech to come out and find a way to word on ticket a new panel. Didn't hear that from me though. 50-50 shot and at the very most you'll be out a service fee but it has to be under 30 days old for cosmetic damage.
