The freezer party of my whirlpool fridge isn’t freezing appropriately. It’s will keep things cold, but won’t freeze.

It had been on a lower setting, and wasn’t freezing. Cranking it up hasn’t helped.

Take a picture of the frost pattern of the evaporator. Check the sealed system topic that should help in this forum.

I tried to get to the evaporator, but the back was coming off easily. I was scared it was gonna break. Any advice on removal?

Probably have to steam it using a steamer. Recheck or take picture of your model number. It's not coming up with anything.
