Frigidaire Gallery Gas dryer model GLGQ332AS2 runs but doesn't dry

Hi I used to work at an appliance repair company and my parents gas dryer stopped drying. I took it apart with my dad and cleaned out all the lint, tested everything and the three prong coil didn't have continuity when testing the middle pin to either of the sides. I ordered the coils and a belt and when the parts came I tested the existing coils again just to be sure and the three prong now shoes continuity across all three. Are they not the issue? Did I make a mistake (I tested multiple times when we took it apart) ? Is it possible for continuity to come back after sitting disconnected and apart in the garage while we waited for the parts to arrive? Planning on replacing the parts and putting back together tomorrow but want to avoid having it still not work after completing. Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you

@sourlovin When you first checked the 3 terminal coil was it right after you tried to use it - if so that is the way they will fail.  They can work and heat properly for anywhere from 5 to 30 minutes then stop working, (the coil opens internally once it heats up).  If you test the coil right after it fails to light the burner it will show as open.

Let it cool down for 10 minutes or so, (or put it in the freezer for a few minutes), and test it again and it will read as OK.

@Budget Appliance Repair no when I first tested it the dryer had not been used for a few days since we knew it wasn't drying

I just took the coil out of the machine and it initially was testing but now it's not so it's definitely busted

actually the old coil is now showing continuity again, and the resistance is good too, and I replaced them in the dryer and it still not heating. Might have to replace the igniter. Too bad my dryer doesn't have an access panel in the bottom of the front, I can't observe the burner in operation to see how the igniter glows

It was the coils! Forgot to turn the gas back on after repair. The old coil now shows no continuity again, I still am wondering why and would love it if anybody had an answer as to why the old coil keeps showing continuity, then not showing, and switching back and forth

There is a viewing port on these Frigidaire built dryers but it's a really crappy setup.

You have to prop the front of the dryer up with a 2x4 or bigger block and lay flat on the floor and there is a u-shaped port/ramp right in front of the burner area that you
can watch the glow as the ignitor heats up then see it click off and the flame start or not start if bad coils.
