I have a 3-4 year old Samsung refrigerator.   The ice maker has given me problems from day one.  I can usually take it out and defrost it and it starts working again.  This time is different.  I'm able to get the ice maker to cycle when I use the test/force cycle button.  However, it doesn't cycle on its on.  It seems like it thinks the bucket is full.  I'm wondering how the bucket knows when to stop filling?   Or if there is a way for me to fix this issue without buying a new unit.
