Samsung Refrigerator RS25H5111BC/AA icemaker not getting water.

Samsung icemaker not getting water.   Replaced water valve, control board, checked water tube-not frozen or clogged.

When test button is pushed you hear 1 chime and a motor running/humming noise.  It does heat up, rotate fingers but arm does not go down.  When I put water into metal ice cube tray/mold it will freeze and dump that ice.  My youngest is an HVAC Journeyman and certified in ice makers.  He knows what he is doing,  but is back to trying to trace wires.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Temperature has to be a certain range for ice makers to work. Not sure the temp in Samsungs. Just freezing ice doesn't cut it. Maybe some one else can chime in exact temp. Use a digital thermometer and place between two bags of vegetables in the freezer compartment and let us know the temp. If icemaker is in a door make sure ice box/compartment fan is working. To me just guessing it sounds like a temp issue or ice maker issue. Unless the wrong board was changed, I don't have Samsung access but most Samsungs have more than one board.

Looks like on page 58-62 of the service manual there is a troubleshooting flowchart for icemaker trouble. I'd check that since you've replaced parts already.

Thanks so much for the help!  We did the flow charts from repair manual as well.  We are going to try checking for a broken/crimped wire at the top hinge. What else should we look at?  Is tracing the wires our last resort?

We know the ice maker works if you pour water in the molds.

We have checked the temperature many times and it is always 0 or -2.  We raised (in case it was too cold) and lowered to lowest temperature rating on fridge.   The range for this Samsung fridge is 0 to -2.

The board we changed was on the back top left - facing the back of fridge.  It has all of the icemaker components and it is the PCB.
