Sharp refrigerator stopped cooling

Hello,

Few days go my sharp refrigerator stopped cooling,

All I hear is something to turn on for 2-3 seconds and then a clicking sound and everything stops,

This is repeated all the time while it is powered on

I called a "professional" to come and check it. Once he heard the sound and the clicking he instantly told me I need a new refrigerator without explaining in detail. He charged me the visit of course and left (the whole process took 30-40 seconds)

Of course I have my doubts, especially after googling and watching some other videos with similar problems

attached a photo with the refrigerator model and a video with a problem

I struggle financially so I don't want to rush and buy new one

Any help much much appreciated!

Sound's like your overload and relay is bad.

I can't find anywhere only that sells parts for that model which might mean it's a throw away model (buy a new one as repairing it would probably exceed the cost of the unit )

You can try taking the overload and relay off the compressor and taking it to a part house and see if they have them or one that will work on your compressor.

A new over load and starter relay may fix it , but there is a chance that your compressor is what caused the Start relay to go bad . (Shorted or LRA(Locked rotor amps)
