My dishwasher will fill with hot water and then nothing happens.  No noise no nothing.  Then if I hold the cancel button it will empty.  I replace the board last year.  I took the board out and inspected it for burn marks in case and part got hot and burned out and didn’t see anything.  I did notice a few wires that went up to the board got hot and melted the backing board on the door though.

I would take a voltage check at the wash pump motor. You should have 120 , if you have a Amp Clamp meter , taking a amp draw would be better than voltage. The part number for the wash pump is W10815709 

The wire's inside the panel with the control board that look melted aren't really melted, the heat from the dishwasher has melted the coating on the back of the panel and is stuck on the wires. 

You can do a continuity check on them though to make sure they are okay, happens on almost every dishwasher
