Kenmore Elite 795.72053.110 not cooling well even after new compressor

Appreciate any input on this.

This all happened within span of 3 weeks or so.

Before all of this the fridge was working fine, freezer items were frozen solid. Then one day it lost cooling completely.

I then had the compressor replaced by Sears. Before doing the replacement, the technician said pressures were fine and there was no leak. However, after the replacement, even at the beginning it was only getting down to -7C in the freezer, fridge was fine at 4C or so. And stayed like this until the most recent technician visit.

Another technician came with ultrasonic leak detector and said there was a leak after doing a nitrogen test. He said the freon was also kind of low. He couldn't find leak and said it could be a cabinet leak and so he recharged freon and left.

Now I'm having trouble getting freezer below 0C and fridge is like 60F.

Any guesses on what is happening? He checked the welds and evaporator and said he couldn't find a leak, and yet before compressor replacement they said no leak either.

But it's just not cooling well. Could it be the new compressor being bad? Or did some new leak occur?

sounds like you have a non repairable leak,,,In the cabinet, cannot access or find it...How old is the refer???..The compressor should have been checked before replacement....

Could you back up on your story... why did you replace the compressor in the first place? did any of the techs test the thermistors?
