Here’s a clip of the last ten secs of spin in the diagnostic test. A lot of rattle but maybe that’s normal? At speed, the spin sounds like this not just the last 10 secs, to be clear.

Sounds like broken triunion.

Sounds like a machine gun too.  Anyway turns out it wasn't bearings or trunnion but a loose drain hose banging the drum assembly and vice versa.  A mere zip tie is involved.  There's a good video explaining it (fairly common problem I guess).

I needed to take off the back panel to have a place to lash the zip tie to since I was able to re-attach the unbroken white retention ring / clip which had popped off.  Two pix of my fix.
