GE Cafe Dual Fuel/Double Oven - CC2S950P2MS1 . Removing hidden bake element.

Hi,

I have GE Cafe Dual Fuel/Double Oven model CC2S950P2MS1.

My question is what is the procedure for removing the hidden bake element from the lower oven?

Can it be accessed by removing the bottom plate (item 480 in the attached diagram) in the lower oven cavity or can it only be removed by accessing it from the rear of the oven?

If it can only be accessed from the rear of the panel, what would be the steps to follow as the wiring is located by the side and not at the rear of the oven?

Regards,

Gus

Pretty sure you will be in luck with this one - it appears the bottom of the oven liner has two screw in the rear that when removed the oven floor will lift out and you will be able to access the element to remove.

Yes, I looked in the oven and I do see two screws at the rear. I just wanted to be sure. This is one heavy oven, and I wanted to avoid having to pull out the oven and having to take the extra precaution of protecting the wood floors.

Thanks you Willie.

Regards,

Gus
