What dishwasher part KitchenAid kdpm354gps0

Does anyone know what dishwasher part KitchenAid kdpm354gps0 this is?  Dishwasher started to have water in bottom after cycle completes.  I have removed the cover near this part and cleaned all congealed parts.  Used high temp cycle with vinegar for multiple loads and achieved a very strong drainage into garbage disposal.

Yet water remains in the unit after the cycle completes.  Parts diagrams don't identify this part in back left inside facing unit from in front.

I am baffled...

That is the OWI sensor - doesn't have anything to do with draining at the end of a cycle.

It senses the clarity of the water to reduce rinse cycles and it also contains the thermistor that senses water temp.
