GE Deep Freezer Not Cooling w/ New Start Relay

I have a GE Chest Freezer (FCM7SUWW) that has stopped cooling. I followed the many youtube video recommendations to replace the relay with a Supco 3 in 1 Start relay (https://www.amazon.com/Supco-RCO810-START-Hard-Start/dp/B00A8O0E5Y/ref=asc_df_B00A8O0E5Y/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=167132127576&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7708249711191859830&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1026398&hvtargid=pla-307404611741&psc=1)

and it has not helped. I can feel the compressor vibrating, and for a few minutes it's audibly running but then get's real quiet but still has some vibrations. After a few hours my GFCI will trip.

This is the original relay and overprotect that was on the compressor. https://www.amazon.com/Refrigerator-6750C-0005P-Protector-Compatible-Compressor/dp/B08NV8CK4K/ref=asc_df_B08NV8CK4K/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=485388972448&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=7554821711892644280&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1026398&hvtargid=pla-1074529495129&psc=1

Anything else I should try? Should I ditch the 3 in 1 and buy the OEM start and overprotect parts? Could it be something with the thermostat?

Update: I tried bypassing the thermostat control and still not cooling down below 50*.

Sounds like the compressor might be bad. If you've got a multimeter, put it to ohms. Unplug the appliance from the wall, access the compressor and remove the connections to it. You've got three pins coming out of the compressor. You've got the common, the start, and the run windings. You want to test for resistance amongst the three pins.

Take a pen and paper, and write down the resistance between the following:

  • Common and Run
  • Common and Start
  • Start and Run
