No luck with the model number. Post the serial number, we'll see if that works.

It ends with /00

I don't have a serial. They called it in. I ended up telling them to call LG for an authorized servicer. The problem was: lights are on, but it doesn't run or doesn't seem to run to them. Everything is melted. Thinking it could be compressor and having no manual anyway, I told them to call LG. Then came the questions. "Why, do you not work on LGs?" Blablabla

I hate these conversations, where they want to know what it is, I don't know without testing anyway, but I can't tell them that if it turns out it's the compressor, that we don't fix those. Then they hear: "It IS the compressor and we don't know how to fix appliances" So I tell them to just call LG and maybe it's something that can be covered by warranty and we don't do warranty calls, so they need an LG tech. That I don't want to go there, charge her a service call only to tell her to call LG tech anyway. Then she calls me back later and said it's a 2021 machine, and her husband said it's out of warranty. 🙄

I don't even know how the LG compressors are handled by LG in Canada, if they are covered. So don't know what to tell her LG will do.

This is when I wish I learned sealed system repair and got the equipment, but then realize this is in a cheap rental that would not pay for a compressor repair anyway, like most that I come across. Just started working with this landlord. This is only the second call from them so far.
