SAMSUNG RF260BEAESL | Upgrade from thermal fuse to bimetal

Hello, I have a RF260BEAESL french door fridge and it has blown fuse, I bypassed the fuse with a wire and the defrost started working again. I was wondering if I connect a bimetal instead of the fuse will it work? I don't want to be disassembling the fridge every time a fuse blows(it prolly blew because of electrical issue in the old house) Right now its working with a wire instead of a fuse and its fine. The fuse is 110c microtemp.

My question is will the bimetal substitute the fuse? I see it opens over 60 or 70°c, not 110 like the original fuse, but its prolly high enough for the defroster to work properly.

Also the temperature sensors are the same on all samsungs? I don't see a reading on the current one, so ordered a generic sensor as well.
