Hi Everyone

I have noticed that my freezer is not getting to Zero. Its floats between 11 to 16 F . Refrigerator is at set at 37F & is 37F.        Fan in freezer section is running.

Any advice on what I should check would be appreciated

Have you cleaned your condenser lately? if not , the unit cannot dissipate  the heat from the condenser and therefor give you higher temp's .

If that is clean, your freezer thermistor; part number WR55X10025 . might be out of spec. If you know how to take resistance measurement's with a digital meter, you can test the thermistor from the board connector and compare them with the spec's found on the tech sheet .

Thank you

The coils are clean. I completely defrosted the unit and I checked resistance of the defrost heater, The overheat thermostat and the thermistor that is connected to the evaporator coil.  Everything tested good.

The one thing I didn't know how to test was the  thermistor that is on the right side of the freezer wall.

I removed cover but it disappears into the cabinet.  Would you happen to know the test points on the board in the back?   Then I can determine if that's the problem

I have plugged the refrigerator back in  and everything is working fine  0/37 but it may only be a temporary fix since its going to take some time for the ice to build up .     It could have just needed a reset when I unplugged and defrosted   time will tell

Thank you

From the main board .connector j10 pin 1 and 2  (tan wire and blue wire)

Before disconnecting you should get 5vdc on your meter.

If you have your schematic, it will have the ohms range that you will need to measure for based on the temperature. Do you have the schematic?

You will get your measurements by ohming out the blue and tan wire after disconnecting it from the board

You should get around 48.4k ohms to 36.4k ohms between the temperatures of -4 and 5° f

Thanks for the info

I am at 3.41 vdc          and 32.1 ohm    the freezer section was reading  set at 0 on the door when I did the test

Thanks
