Repair Help: Frigidaire Gallery Dishwasher FGID2477RF1A cannot start.

hi all

My Frigidaire dishwasher FGID2477RF1A suddenly cannot start.

The last time I used this dishwasher was 3 months ago. It worked normally.

The panel display looks normal as I can select different cycles. After I pressed the "start" pad, LCD showed "CL". Then I closed the door and all the lights were off without any further action.

I also tried the "service mode" to check the error code. "iC0" indicates a communication error. Unplugging the dishwasher or flipping the circuit breaker did not work.

I have disassembled the door and checked the door latch. It seems that the door latch is a switch that turns the panel display off when the door is closed. Is my observation correct?

I also disconnected and connected the main control board. It did not work either. I am not sure if the control board is the cause. It would be greatly appreciated if you have any advice.

Thank you!

Just make an update in case someone else encounters this problem in the future. This issue was caused by the corrosion inside the membrane connector. After replacing the membrane connector (display pannel) and main board, the dishwasher works now.
