Fisher&Paykel Washer GWL11US Possible Bearing Noise

Recommended Posts

As the title says. Fisher & Paykel GWL 11 When running, an excessive noise is worsening. Seems to be a drum bearing. I have found a bearing repair kit for about $300. The unit has been flawless for the last 20-22 years. First, has anyone had any experience in a successful repair and is it worth the cost to repair?

Thanks,

John

Is it worth the time and effort ?

no imho

if you didnt want to do it , it would be best to get the outer tub as iirc they come with the bearings and seal and you need to reuse the shaft but would be prudent to use a new shaft anyway

meanwhile the suspension is flogged out and rps is corroded , pump and valves have seen better days
