I have a frigidaire stand up deep freezer, model fffu20f2vw0.  I've had it now for about 2.5 years.  6 months ago, in June my wife realized that the food on the top shelf was starting to thaw a bit.  You noticed it with the bread.  I took everything out of the freezer, unplugged it for 12-18 hours, plugged it back in and it's been fine ever since.  After that happened I purchased a temp sensor that I have on the top shelf.  It stays consistent between 0 and -10 degrees F.  A few nights ago I received an alert that the temp had hit 15 degrees F.  I went down and immediately removed everything and unplugged it for about 12 hours.  Plugged it back in and it started cooling again down to about -5 degrees F.  It was fine for about 5-6 hours, then the temp started climbing again to around 10 degrees F.  I ended up unplugged it again.  I have verified that the circulating fan inside works fine, the coils are not iced up.  The fan near the motor in the back works fine and the motor works fine.  No issue on any of the coils.  Any idea what the issue could be and why this is happening?  Computer/board issue, relay perhaps?  I don't think the freezer should be going that high in temp.  I thought maybe a link in the coolant line, but if it can cool to -5/-10, it would seem to me like everything is working.  I don't have anything in the freezer now (thanks to the coolers in the snow) because I don't trust that it won't happen again.  Any ideas on what to try?  Am I being too strict on the temp?  It seems as thought it not going over 0 degrees for 6 months would seem like a good baseline for operating temperature.  I know it has a defrost cycle, but that seems high for that.

With nothing in the freezer, the temp raise to 15 degrees may have just been a defrost cycle.
