Whirlpool front-load washer (WFW95HEDW0): diagnosing the shocks?

How do I know if the shocks are bad on this whirlpool washer? In the linked YouTube video, you’re looking at a spin cycle with an empty tub. Not a perfectly smooth ride, but what’s normal? I see grease on the shock shafts but I think that’s… supposed to be there? These shocks are dampeners and not really complicated sealed mechanisms. Eight-year old machine (WFW95HEDW0).

if its banging during spin and the tub is empty i would check the drum bearing.

Reach inside and grab the inner basket and jiggle it. Does it move and clank against the outer tub? if so you have a bad drum bearing.

Is this the same machine you posted about the other day that had the busted rotor ?
