Hello. I’m hoping this group may be able to help me figure this issue out.  This dishwasher stopped working on us and research indicated the water inlet valve was bad. So I replaced that.

That solved the initial issue. However as the washer ran, water began to leak from the water inlet. There was a good bit of “gunk” in there, so I ordered a replacement. Installed the new part today and the water still is shooting out of what I am assuming is an overflow?  The photo attached highlights where the water shoots out from.

this dishwasher has honestly been a nightmare from day 1.

what am I missing?  Anyone seen this?

I’ve even reached out to a couple of local repair people I’ve used but both say they no longer do dishwashers. 🤦🏼‍♂️

man, I’m frustrated…..

appreciate any help out there!!

What is the part in the picture and what are you pointing at?

Perhaps you needed some sort of lubricant on the seal of the part you replaced

I read it again and I see you mentioned what the part is.

It doesn't really make sense to me but is there perhaps a screw or something with a gasket that's supposed to go that hole?

Maybe a hose connects to it?  I can't tell if it's flush with the body of the part.

Just watched a video about it. I'd say the one you got it broken.

Yeah, that was my thought on the original part as well. Since it seemed to be “dunked up” inside. But the replacement part does the same thing. So I’m wondering if this is some type of overflow?  Is one of the relays messing up?  It’s really really odd. 🤷🏼‍♂️

You're 100% sure water is leaking from that spot? I can't understand why there would or could be an overflow or a hole for any reason.  Is the part supposed to be new?
