LG dryer overheating not a clogged vent

Recommended Posts

I have a lg dryer model dlgx3901b that I am trying to fix. I replaced the blower housing thermostat and it works for 15 mins and then gets too hot and trips the same thermostat. I also replaced the two thermostats on the gas flame cylinder and also replaced the thermistor. But it keeps tripping the blower housing thermostat. Any ideas why it keeps overheating. The vent did have a decent amount of lint beneath the screen so maybe that was the cause of the first blown thermostat but it’s extremely clean now and still not working. Do you think the pcb board could cause the dryer to over heat? Any other ideas for me to check? Thanks in advance the dryer is two years old

It's something in the airflow system that you're missing. plugged holes in a grill, a blockage somewhere in the venting, sometimes the flaps are jammed outside...there are tons of options. Did you check the airflow outside at the vent? How long is the burner cycling and/or vent temps?
