Back burner on old south bend gas range won't light except with a match (pilot light is lit)

Trying to fix my Mom's stove. (Yes she has a commercial stove purchased back in the 70's in her kitchen😃). It seems the flame from the pilot light isn't being  drawn up into the tube that leads to the back burner. The small openings on the burner that feed gas into the tube appear to be clean and when the back burner is turned on it even appears that there is a bit of gas being lit at the end of the tube where the pilot light is. But for some reason the flame isn't shoot all of the way back to the burner.

I removed the burner and readjusted the air gas ratio, it ignites now when the burner is cold. But if I turn it on and then off it won't reignite again until it cools for a few seconds.

The fuel / air mixture has to go from the burner to the pilot light.

It's probably slightly out of alignment on one end or the other. Also make sure that the holes on the burner appointed straight down the pilot tube
