I have a GE ptw600bsr1ws clothes washer that's a little over a year old. The start button light is flashing, and it won't do anything. I've tried unplugging it for a few hours. I tested the door lock for resistance, and it seems to be working correctly. I manually locked it with the key inserted, and still nothing. The fill hose screens aren't clogged. Sometimes it'll start if I keep pressing the start button over and over, but I can't seem to find the magic combo to make it work easily.

I haven't found any instructions on how to get it into diagnostics mode.

The tech sheet should be underneath the machine taped to the side . The start button flashing may be a error code, but you'll need to be in diagnostic's to determine what that error is .

Press and hold the Start button while rotating the cycle selection knob 180 degrees clockwise then release the start button. The LED will start flashing.  Then you turn the knob 1 click clockwise and push start.(That is where the error codes are stored) If there is a error code the led will display a pattern of LEDS , copy them down or take a picture. Push start again and write them down . keep doing that until you have copied all the error codes down . (It will start over)

Then come back and let us know what you found and we will look up the error codes. Unfortunately we aren't allowed to hand out manuals or tech sheets as it is against the rules of the site to distribute them. . Though feel free to sign up for appliantology.org and become a premium member and have access to almost unlimited tech sheets service manuals ect and technical support.
