My KitchenAide French Door Refrigerator (KRMF606ESS01) is dripping water from the ceiling below the icemaker with the water freezing up on ceiling below icemaker.

The icemaker is running frequently… It can be heard calling for water and turning.  The ice bin is currently full, but I don’t think new ice is being produced.

Is the water inlet somehow frozen?

How do I fix?

These refrigerators are not diy friendly. You need to get a skinny 1/4 inch nut driver and remove the two screws underneath the filter cover then kinda forcefully pull down the ceiling to unhook the L

Does anyone have a thought?

Is it possible for the water inlet tube to the ice maker to leak?

There is a fan in the top of this ice maker.   If it fails, does water collect and drip?

That sounds terrible, you could have a bad sensor, or air leak into the ice area, or a bad ice maker if you have ice in the tray it's probably not frozen... I'm not an expert in refrigerators but I would probably shell out for a tech to come by... Hate to to say that... usually  condensation is an air leak allowing warmer air to enter the ice area or the sensor is not reading correct.

These refrigerators are not diy friendly. You need to get a skinny 1/4 inch nut driver and remove the two screws underneath the filter cover then kinda forcefully pull down the ceiling to unhook the LEDs then pull forward releasing the 3 tabs holding the back part of the ceiling up. Then see if you can see the water valve leaking. This could be a lot of issues if it's not that. Could be temperature thermistor bad thinking there's no water in ice tray or ice maker/ UI board over shooting water volume. Crack in tubing due to heater not working and/or valve bellows releasing too much water pressure. Could be more than one issue and if you get a tech not versed in this platform they're most likely going to start with an ice maker and valve. There's lots of tests they can do at the board but they have to know how to interpret the information. Some are easy and some are not. Good luck
