Very old Maytag dryer model GDE309, anemic drying and sometimes won't start

Very old Maytag dryer model GDE309, anemic drying.  And then after it has dried...it needs to rest a couple hours before going again.  Used to be great, but now not.

as far as the unit not starting it sounds like your motor may be in the process of going out

Thanks, man.  I went ahead and ordered a whole new unit.  They are mismatched anyhow and I may want to sell house soon.
