Subject: Seeking Suggestions for Oven Flame Issue on Compact Gas Range

Hello Folks,

My name is Deepak, and I am currently working on a 24-inch freestanding Compact Gas Range with 4 Sealed Burners. While all the burners are functioning perfectly, I am encountering an issue with the oven.

The oven operates with an electrode that sparks when any temperature is selected on the thermostat. Once the flame tube is lit, the sparking stops, and the unit begins to heat up. However, when the oven reaches the desired temperature, the flame should simmer down to very low (similar to how the burner flame simmers on a low setting).

The problem arises when I open the oven door, even for a few seconds; the flame extinguishes instead of simmering, causing the oven to lose temperature, which prevents the food from cooking properly.

This issue is new to me, and I am eager for any suggestions or ideas on how to fix this. I am sure I am not the first to encounter this problem, so any shared experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Deepak
