Whirlpool French door refrigerator model #GI6SARXXF01 ice maker enclosure damaged

Recommended Posts

Hi-  My ice maker fill tube was clogged with ice and I used a blow dryer to melt it. Unfortunately, I also warped the enclosure/housing (not sure of the terminology) in the process (not my finest hour) and now I can't get the ice maker to slide back in. I've been planning on trying to soften the plastic again with a blowdryer and use some pressure and bracing to gently reshape it. I'm certainly not sure this will work. My question is: Can the enclosure around the icemaker be replaced? I've looked for it as a part and it isn't featured in the parts diagrams for this model as far as I can tell.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Chris

PS I'll attach a couple of photos. The first one showed the warping and the second, with the blue markup shows the enclosure that I'd like to replace if it is possible.
