metal plate behind back of gas range FGF348KCJ

Hello, today I dissembling gas range Frigidaire gas range FGF348KCJ. I find a metal plate between oven insulation and back range cover. It just sits there, not attached and moves around. Any reason it is here? Thank you!

Never seen it before and it doesn't look like it's in the parts diagram either.

Also it's the wrong kind of metal and doesn't match the rest of the range.

My best guess is that someone stuck it there for a reason, although I have no idea what the reason would be.

Why did you even remove that back panel?

In 39 years of appliance repair I've never had to remove the lower back panel of the range for this style of Frigidaire range for any type of repair.

I don't think someone just stuck that in there - It's a shaped galvanized sheet panel - but it for sure isn't shown on the parts list.

Thank you, I removed because of that panel, which was not secured and I thought I would secure it to the oven.
