I'm going away on a business trip and lowered my fridge off the leveling feet so my family could move it and plug in an inverter in the event of power failure while I'm away (SC coast, storm coming).

What entry-level engineer was assigned to design the plastic leveling feet that they put on these units? Screwdriver to turn?! yeah, right.

I have a strap wrench that sort of worked to release them, but what is the solution to adjust these legs? Do people only anticipate setting them once in a fridge's life?

Thanks,

Marc

Back before the fall of civilization, there were hex head bolts right on the front face and you would turn them with a ratchet or screwdriver to raise or lower the wheels and nobody bothered with the legs.

Yes, the good old days. 7mm" ratchet on a 1/4" drive.  I suppose I just need to get a dolly to pry this unit up to adjust the feet without stripping the plastic
