Samsung Front Load Washer wf42h5400af/a2: 4E Error Code, Leaking, Has Fiberglass debris in Drain Filter, Spin cycle has excessive vibration

My front load Samsung Washer flooded the laundry room with water and was displaying an error code "4E". Upon researching the error code and starting troubleshooting, the following was discovered.

Took off the back panel, initiated wash cycle, and observed water dripping from the front area by the drain pump when it engaged. Decided to clean the drain filter (had performed this action two weeks prior) and noticed it was full of fiberglass debris slivers (noticed it two weeks prior but paid no attention). Noticing this I recalled our washer has been becoming louder and vibrating more during the spin cycles as of late.

From this I decided to review the parts list for this machine to see what parts are internal (and fiberglass) to the water cycle of the machine. The balancers (from the pictures) seem to be the closest culprit (opinion, not fact).

Has anyone had similar issues when diagnosing a washer before?
