Random water leakage on refrigerator

Recommended Posts

I have a GE model GFE26JGMNFWW which sporadically leaks water with episodes happening about twice a week.  I recently had move the refrigerator to access the wall outlet and this is when the problem began occurring. Any ideas?

Where are you seeing the water?

Is the unit hooked up to a water line? Check the connections including the ones in the back that go to the ice maker and water dispenser.

Is there water/ice in the bottom of the freezer section indicating the defrost drain is clogged? Is the unit sitting level-ish? Is the defrost condensate pan in the back where the compressor is cracked or otherwise leaking? Is there water in it?

The water appears on the floor not inside the freezer section.  I don't think leak is a the water connection point as the leak is not constant.  Puddles appear about twice a week.  I will check the condensation pan.

Thanks

Also, make sure the drain tube that goes from the freezer to the condensate pan didn't come dislodged or moved.
