Hi All,

Just swapped out my FF condenser fan for the 2nd time since I've owned this thing (about 7-8 years) and while waiting for temp to come down (fully defrosted the evap, and dried out the super waterlogged styrofoam insulation as well as I could), checked diagnostics, and codes, and it shows me 3 codes.

01 05
03 60
00 0d

105 is the only one I can find, and says it's condenser fan. Testing condenser fan in diagnostics seems okay, but maybe it's expecting higher speed. I can't find anything that documents expected RPM.

And maybe these aren't fault codes and are some type of diag codes reporting out version numbers or something. This fridge doesn't have a full color display, just two two-digit readouts...

Thanks!

water logged foam is a bad you have some kind of thermistor issue or a sealed system maybe fan but they go on voltage if the evap was frozen like a block of ice you definitely have an issue defrost thermistor or sensor hard to just guess you need to test things... you  need to dry out the foam 100% or get new foam you are asking for trouble putting wet foam in ....

There's some confusing information in the original post.  There is no "FF condenser fan" on this model, just one condenser and condenser fan shared by both FF and FZ.  I assume he's replaced the FF evap fan, and just using the names interchangeably.

The FF evap fans fail often, and they will freeze up the evaporator and soak the styrofoam.

If the condenser fan (by compressor) is spinning, and you don't have any issues, then just leave it as is.  I don't even check the codes when I work on these, just check all the fans visually.

Sorry for delay in responding!

Sorry, I said condenser fan, I meant evap fan.

Replaced evap fan, so far it's behaving better. Evap fan in Fresh Food did seem to have a failing bearing. This is 3rd one I've replaced. They seem to last 3-4 years. =/ I should just keep one on hand. Super annoying.

Condenser fan does spin. Things _seem_ happy.

So far, it's behaving much better. The foam I tried to dry out as much as possible in the sun, but getting it fully dry would take days. =/ I did fully defrost evap and let it dry out (box fan into exposed box and empty fridge goes pretty quick).

Thanks for the help. I'm preparing myself for a new fridge purchase in the coming years. Never been terribly happy with this thing. =(
