Kenmore Washer Stopped Spinning Model 110.25132411

Hello,

We've recently noticed that our clothes were coming out soaking wet after a wash cycle. After starting to look into it, the washer makes a loud 'slipping' sound when it tries to spin. Even taking the clothes out and trying to run a 'drain and spin' cycle empty, we hear the same sound. It sounds like something is slipping but the belt is tight and shows very little wear. Any ideas where to check next?
