PCB Controller Board Compatibility for Samsung Washer Dryer WD72J5400AW/EG

Hi everyone,

I hope someone here can help me with a compatibility question regarding my Samsung washer dryer, model WD72J5400AW/EG.

The two PCB controller boards currently in the machine have the following part numbers:

  • DC9201378D2017012200342
  • DC9201786A2017012200519
Additionally, the sticker on the cover reads: 06DC9201790M.

I’ve found several boards online with matching base part numbers (e.g., DC92-01378D), but the remaining digits differ (e.g., DC9201378D2016 vs. DC9201378D2017).

My question is:

  • Are these differences in the last digits significant in terms of compatibility?
  • Could a board with slightly different numbers still work with my washer dryer, or do I need an exact match?

Here are two links to parts I think may be compatible:
First
Second

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
If anyone has experience with similar part number differences or has successfully swapped one of these boards, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your help!

@jonasscherer The long string of numbers at the end are just date of manufacturing coding

DC9201378D   (2017012200342)
Manufactured 01/22/2017 #342 of that day

DC9201786A   (2017012200519)
Manufactured 01/22/2017 #519 of that day

As long as the part number up to the last letter is the same then they
are the same boards
