Whirlpool WDF540PADB2 dishwasher stops

This Whirlpool dishwasher stops during a cleaning cycle.

I’ve been going through the diagnostic (as shown in a sheet in a pouch behind the bottom panel).  I keep getting the signal for the overflow (6 blinks, pause, 4 blinks).
So I replaced the micro switch and the lever…

Also the instructions say you can erase the user errors by pressing the “High Temp” button during the first display, but there is no High Temp button.

After watching many many cycles I am concluding that this thing can’t tell it’s empty when it drains (even though the sump is dry)

I’m thinking about buying a turbidity sensor but I would like to get some advise first.

 Thanks

Never had this issue but I am thinking you need to test the sensing system areas, and not sure what switch you are referring to check the float switch take it off and make sure it's not gunked up clean the filter system shop vac the drain hose at the garbage disposal! pour an additional 1 gallon in the unit and keep sucking and see what kind of gookus is in the shop vac

Hello check the overfill float switch for 120v or add a galllon of water look at the float if nothing happens when you shut the door lift the float with something and shut the door see if it drains if not the switch is bad under load 120v
