Wolf IG15/S Grill separating touch glass panel from circuit board?

Recommended Posts

I have a Wolf IG15/S grill. The glass touch panel is broken but the grill otherwise works fine.  I realize that the grill itself is discontinued. I notice that some of the parts are still available at various sites online, however. It appears that the part number for the glass touch panel is 802557. Further, it looks like there is a separate part number for the control assembly itself. That part number appears to be 805453. Before I order the glass touch panel, I want to make certain that it can be separated from the board. One would think this is the case since it is a separate part number. However, I have the assembly on my workbench and it is not obvious to me how to separate the two parts. I see a ribbon cable and what looks like a connector. It does not pull out of the control board easily. Also, I see four plastic tabs near the underside of the glass. Pressing them in or pulling them out does not seem to release the board. Can anyone give me some instructions on how to separate the glass from the board? Thanks.
