asteysn2 Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Manufacturer: GE Type of Appliance: Range, gas Model Number: JGBP33WEH3WW Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): y Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): y Seeking advice on a twist to an otherwise routine job. Let me explain. Yesterday a lady called to say she had gotten a (used?) range that was jetted for NG. She claims her son managed somehow to change the jets on the cooktop but not he oven or the broiler jets. Now the flames are large lazy and yellow. I do not know if the regulator was modified. I have seen a few twists to changing the oven and broiler burners that sometimes incorporate some sort of "minor" alteration for the jets that feed said burners. Rendering to need to replace any parts null. You have the model number. Perhaps someone with this model can offer advice?
Captain Dunsel Posted December 17, 2024 Posted December 17, 2024 Uses the same mini manual as this model.See if this helps you? 1
asteysn2 Posted December 18, 2024 Author Posted December 18, 2024 Thanks Capt D. Appreciate the effort but I gleaned very little useful purpose specific info. But, I think I'll go out on out to take a look around and see if I can piece it together by myself. Thanks again B
vee8power Posted December 18, 2024 Posted December 18, 2024 It may have those brass orifice hoods that are left unscrewed 3.5 turns for NG and screwed all the way down for LP.
asteysn2 Posted December 22, 2024 Author Posted December 22, 2024 you were right. This range incorporates oven and broil spuds that are not replaced. Just bottom them out and the rest is ok. Thanks!
