Hi all,

Have an almost 9yo GDT695 that for the last year or so randomly wakes up every 10 minutes or so sounding like door has been opened. Lights light up, sound happens. Other symptom is green light doesn’t come on after cycle. But cycles finish (seemingly)

my understanding is this could be UI board, but also sounds like there may be a firmware update available to resolve this issue.

dishwasher does not have wifi. Does have rj45 jack on main board. Main board looks fine from what I can tell. Haven’t pulled UI board since dishwasher works.

I tried contacting GE, but they just say “make an appointment”. I swear they used to offer firmware update modules. You paid a deposit, they mailed you a module that applied update, then mailed back. Is that not a thing anymore? Anyone know if local techs will do a firmware for cheap (rather than stock 130 or whatever a call costs)?

thanks!
