Ikea induction cooktop ICI500XB00 - not working after power outage/surge

Transformer on a pole down the block blew earlier today, taking our power out. It kicked a couple of breakers on the way down, including the 220V, 40A 2pole breaker for our cooktop. Power is on now, but no joy at the cooktop, no lights or any other signs of life. I've verified that I have power at the breaker and under the cabinet where the cooktop is mounted. Having trouble finding any info on this unit. Does it have a fuse or fuses inside that I can check? Or is this thing just toast at this point? I found a replacement control board but it costs more than the whole unit did originally.

Oh, I'm sure I'm way out of warranty, this thing is close to 10 years old. Plus I'm not sure the warranty would cover damage due to power surge.

So I went ahead and tore the thing apart. Found a varistor that was smoked, litteraly blew to pieces. Also found the adjacent fuse was blown. So I've ordered some replacement parts and will try to fix it when they arrive. We'll see how that goes.
