DCS stove, Model RGS-366SS will not heat up properly

Hi folks--

My 20 year old DCS stove will not heat up properly. Stove top and broiler work fine. Igniters, dual fuel valve and regulator have been replaced. The igniter goes on, and the gas ignites, but it then flares down, then up, then down. And there is a gas smell, presumably from insufficient ignition. If I set the oven at 400 degrees, it might take 45 minutes to get there, or it might only heat up to 250. Thoughts? Something to do with the thermostat? I have had two different repair companies out and it's pretty clear that they are guessing.

Thanks!

sounds like the igniter is weak amp clamp it see if it stays above 3.3amp how old is the igniter otherwise I think you will have a direct spark ignition which would be my next guess

Can't find the schematic but I would look for a DSI/spark board or a bake burner solenoid. Sound like either spark components aren't cleaned,DSI board/spark module not leaving gas on or giving good spark because return proving circuit is bad or bake solenoid not opening fully. Can't tell what you have without schematic. I'm assuming DSC has the spark ignition system. If it has the ignitor system could be what @dfphotosaid and it's not getting 3.5 amps to fully open safety valve which would indicate bad ignitor but if getting 3.5 amp(rating will be on safety valve what it opens at) could be the safety valve.

Seen another post on this. Check the burner tube for spider webs. You have a hot surface ignitor like @dfphoto stated.
